Whatever type of walking routes you enjoy, from a short stroll with the kids to a trek through wilderness areas, our location offers many options and the opportunity to experience our stunning scenery, wonderful wildlife and captivating culture.

The Loch Ness area is a fantastic place for walking, and caters for all abilities. Walkers will enjoy Glen Strathfarrar, the last wilderness, running up to the Monar Dam, through large areas of ancient Caledonian pine forest.

Glen Strathfarrar, like the neighbouring glens, is a haven for the outdoor enthusiast. The road into the Glen is private and access to motor vehicles is restricted. However, cyclists, and those on foot, will find the road relatively traffic free. Glen Affric and Glen Cannich are just 8 miles down the road.

'Munro Bagging' is on the doorstep and there are many other areas within easy driving distance for all grades of walkers and hill climbers.

Should you require any further information regarding your walking and hiking options simply ask.
